Title:  The Clogyrnach

The Clogyrnach is a six lined syllable poetic form of Welsh or Celtic origin. It is a form that belongs to the Awdl class – the Odes.

The Clogyrnach can be divided, though not with a space line in the poem into:

An eight syllable couplet
A five syllable couplet
And a three syllable couplet.

The three syllable couplet can be written as one six syllable line.

The five syllable lines rhyme with each other, and with the first line of the three syllable couplet.

The second line of the three syllable couplet rhymes with the eight syllable couplet.
